Has anyone dealt with these before? I had a jacked up collision in my soccer game last weekend and was knocked completely out. Ended up with a concussion. I still can't focus and get headaches with prolonged tv/computer exposure and even walking. I feel useless. It will be a week tomorrow since it happened.

I hope you went to see a doctor. The effects of a severe concussion can last weeks or months, sometimes even longer. You shouldn't be doing anything that causes strain on your brain. It needs time to heal.
-
Definitely let someone there know you're having problems. It may be a lot worse than you think, and need attention or advice from a doctor

Parents, doctor, and trainer all know. This sucks. I was at hospital day it happened.

Concussion may take a while to recover from especially if you were out cold. It's definitely best to see your doctor and possibly go for a scan. I hope that you recover quickly and get back to normal very soon. Keep us updatedLive for today

Take care -
Been there after knocking ny head real hard in soccer, tho not quite as severe, just left woozy and disoriented. Not fun. Everyone here has given such fine advice there isn't all that much to add. Hope you feel better soon. in the meantime, it's nice to receive updates and all but you should cool it with the screen time. Come back when you are well and let us know!

Concussions are nothing to take with a grain of salt even if you aren't knock out cold. Even minor head injuries have to be taken seriously. I have had a few minor concussions playing baseball like getting smacked with a line drive hit on my forehead. I was playing shortstop at that time. I was taken to the ER and checked out. Like Collin, I did experience some disorientation for a while after that.
I hope you continue to get better. If the symptoms of disorientation continue, I would urge you to see your doctor.Vivimus Volare, Volamus Vivere, -
Everything everyone has said sounds like good advice
When ever I got a knock on the head I just got an ice pack at most and told to carry on with my day
Trying to write an essay with an ice pack over your eye, head ache, and not feeling to great isn't easy

Today was a better day than I've had. Managed no dizziness or headache today, but I really laid low all day. I can't even start running again until I'm headache free for 7 days, then I have to work with our club's trainer and go through protocol. I just want to get back on the field with the team and my friends.

Hey, I'm no doctor, but I hope you've gotten examined by one. Concussions are nothing to sneeze at. Like others have said, they're very serious.

was there a dr at the game? should be, its required here in ny at all school related events, and a concussion is major serious. its important not to fall asleep/

Fingers crossed that I can do some light jogging with the trainer on Saturday which will be two weeks after the injury. Been laying really low and have been good and no symptoms since last Saturday.
