When is the morning wood going to stop?

I keep getting morning wood. Every. Single. Morning. Like really hard boners and it’s been every morning since I went through puberty. It takes forever for my boner to go down if I don’t jack off. I’m 15 and I wake up rock hard and my boxers are always tented out really bad every morning when I wake up.

It’s really awkward since I have to go across the hall from my bedroom to the bathroom in the morning when I wake up. Even worse, my mom came around the corner and saw the big tent that my boxers were making a few days ago. She caught me off guard since I was so half asleep still. It was so awkward. Is this ever gonna stop?

Around noon you shouldn't have a morning wood anymore, otherwise I would go to the doctor if I were you.

As you get older they come with less frequency, but you'll get them most if not all your life. I'm sure your mom has seen your dad in the same condition countless times.

So out of pure morbid curiosity, I asked my step dad about this cos he works in a level one trauma centre and he said it's true. They see that a lot with gun shots to the head and car accidents with broken necks! He said it's always a bad outcome for the patient when they come in like that. So no, you don't want to die this way for sure!!!

That's really interesting as it suggests that being erect is actually the natural state of the penis and that being soft it due to some signal from the brain. That would be relevant to night time erections, morning wood and also finding that you get hard when even just relaxing in a chair and being really chilled - not quite asleep but not far off.

In some tv series they said when you're dead there are residual electric orders which sustain so an arm or a leg can move even if you're dead. Maybe it works for willies too

By move, do you mean twitch? I thought there could be some random pulses which could cause a muscle twitch but no coordinated movement. We covered how muscles work in PE and, while I don't remember all the detail without looking it up, nerves work in pulses rather than a continuous signal and each pulse triggers a chemical reaction that causes the muscle fibres to contract, then relax again. In order to exert a continuous force, the brain has to send repeated pulses to keep re-triggering the chemical reaction and keep the muscles fibres contracted.

As a diversion, I think that explains why, if we try to exert a force for a long time the muscles concerned can start to shake. What I suspect is happening is that, as the muscle tires, the length of time the fibres contract for in response to each pulse becomes shorter. Eventually, that becomes shorter than the interval between successive nerve impulses so the cycle of contracting and releasing become apparent.

And I think that is probably how it will be. It may be something that will decline very slowly as we age as we are apparently at our sexual peak, on average, at 17 but, while puberty happens fairly quickly, the subsequent decline is, I think, very slow.

But, if you did happen to wake up soft and would rather be hard, you could probably start thinking about something that turns you on and you soon would be hard.

I mean, I'm almost 21 and it still happens to me sometimes. Can be annoying, especially if you have to go the bathroom and need to "wait it out" first...but it's just part of being a dude.

I don't think it'll stop, but it'll probably occur less as you get older.

The day you dont get boners any more it wont be a good sign, so you should be happy when you have them

I think I am at the age where I am getting random boners less frequently throughout the day, I was getting them more often when I started puberty, because of the rapidly changing hormones at the beginning.
