what's your opinion. I had a heated argument with teacher that said it wasn't real and for a student to stop faking it.

I kinda agree, it’s now a form of flu we just have to deal with it and get on with it

I disagree especially since the student had to be sent home. My folks are freaking and want me to test. I don't mind. I use to not take it serious but cause of what happen a few months ago I do.

It can still be a serious problem if your old or have other health conditions, so spreading it needs to be controlled. But so does every virus/bacteria/illness

it's really not that huge of a deal anymore...

My parents hospitals aren't even wearing face masks in general anymore and neither of them seem concerned about it. Sure if you catch it you can be pretty sick but it's like every virus. Wash your hands, if you're sick stay home so you don't get others sick. Not a big deal and there is no need to shut down schools and businesses like they did for it again!

It’s real, it killed a lot of people and had all kinds of consequences but the fear is gone
It’s rarely as bad as it was when it was all chaotic, you don’t hear of lots of deaths, people on respirators etc because between vaccines and people surviving it we’ve adapted to it
It’s not a big threat anymore -
It’s definitely still about. About 30% of my brother’s school class is off because of it right now. I’ve told him if he gets it and gives it to me before I go to university, I’ll kill him.

It's gone from being a pandemic to being endemic.
The cold and the flu are also endemic. It's frustrating that we now have a new endemic respiratory illness, but it's not worth shutting down the world for again (and I doubt that will happen; all metrics indicate deaths, hospitalizations, and serious illness are down across the board). -

Still dangerous and there but just part of the seasonal virus mix I guess -
I guess there will always be people who dont care at all and people who will always be frightened to death just by hearing the word
In England, during first covid, a politician is said to have gotten tested every 2 days for months, even after being vaccinated
