Anyway, there are still an awful lot of homophobic people around so it probably will be ignored but it is just stupid, the fact that they are gay should have no effect on their blood, if being gay was a disease which to point out i do not agree with, it would be a psychological one so that law has no standing whatsoever. If someone gay really wanted to give blood though i doubt they'd restrict them.

So yeah. It seems it is true. And yes, people ARE dying because gay men can't donate blood. Unless of course they lied. However, in the UK you DONATE blood you do not get paid, so there is really no need to lie about anything.
