Sure it does.
Ever compared Vista's speed to any other OS's speed on the same computer?
The fact Vista isn't as UI customizable as other OSs?
Security has more breaches than other OSs? (not as noticable but it's there)
I like it, but I don't think i've found an OS that i loved. I may say how much I "love" a new OS at first, but after a while it gets old and the bugs start to expose themselves and become more and more obvious. At least with Ubuntu if I find a bug in one of the open-source applications, I can fix it and recompile it without bugging the developer to do it for me
Ubuntu is quite good if i could get programs that will run on it, i do however like the fact that you plug a USB device in and it doesnt mess around getting updates, it just gets on and does it!. i also find the interface alot nicer, not exactly sure why but it just seems alot softer and more user-friendly
XP is okay, i only use it because i can't game on linux or find decent programs to run on linux. would still rpefer a cheap/free alternative though.
tried playing Hitman 2 thorugh wine and it just doesnt work.
it lags a lot more than with windows and the mesh/colors dont work out right...
i use it for just regular surfing and coursework though, also i like the availability of the neat little tools, like the space simulator and the audio editor, whereas with windows you would need to purchase the programs seperately
Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 on my Desktop and I love it
Windows XP Pro SP3 on my Laptop and I used to love it, but now I have vista on my desktop, XP seems primative, but still, it does the job.
Ubuntu 8.04 in VMWare on Desktop computer and it's awesome.
Ubuntu Server on my home server and It kicks ass.
