Computer help. plz

    • Computer help. plz

Hey guys. I tried to get on my computer earlier today and this is what came up when I opened firefox..

      firefox.exe - Bad Image

globalroot\systemroot\system32\MSIVXewclcmfrlxswvcmqwtwmrvtrunescqhh.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system admin or the software vendor for support.

If anyone can please help me with this issue, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Also, at random instances, I will hear advertisements from my computer, even if I'm not logged on the internet.

I could use any tips or suggestions to solving these problems.

      thanks guys

Um, Downloading the new version may help if you haven't already got it.

Firefox web browser | Faster, more secure, & customizable | Mozilla Europe

As for the random noises, I'm not entirely sure. Also, if you already have the latest version (3.5) then uninstall the program, then delete all "Mozilla" folders located in the AppData folder and Common Files folder, then reinstall.

thanks for the suggestions guys. i have also had some issues with my computer not hibernating. do you think this problem could be attributed to the roolkit?

      edit.

crap. my computer is talking to me again. about squirrels and stuff and the 'roadkill detective' has anyone heard this? i think it may be a tv ad or something that's somehow able to play threw the computer :/

Wondering if he ever got this straightened out. My mom got SEVERAL "talking" rootkits on her computer about a year ago, and couldn't figure out why or how. She'd be sitting there and it would randomly play audio clips and sound effects. :D

Well a few weeks ago, I figured out why. A friend of hers had given her a flash drive with some documents on it which had carried the infection. Her friend's son had been using their computer to visit porn sites.
